Job Title: Data Analyst - Accounting (MIS & Data Extraction)
Job Description:
We are looking for a Data Analyst to join our team and work with our accounting department to help simplify complex data and transform it into actionable insights. The ideal candidate will have a keen understanding of accounting practices, as well as experience working with financial data and MIS reporting systems.
Responsibilities:
Extract critical data elements from financial statements, reports, and other sources to create accurate reports and analyses.
Work closely with the accounting team to define reporting needs and identify opportunities for process improvement.
Create and maintain data dashboards and visualization tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide financial insights.
Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement within accounting processes and financial strategies.
Build and refine data models and reporting tools to support data-driven decision-making within the accounting department.
Maintain data integrity and security protocols to ensure compliance and confidentiality of financial information.
Qualifications:
Relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
2-3 years of experience in data analysis, accounting, or a related field.
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and reporting standards.
Proficiency in data extraction and manipulation techniques, using tools such as SQL, Power BI, or Excel macros.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to formulate actionable recommendations.
Great communication skills to convey complex quantitative concepts to finance and non-finance stakeholders.
Experience with ERP systems and data extraction tools is a plus.
